What is saline conversion chlorination? - Saline chlorination is a term used for the process of converting raw salt dissolved in the pool water into active liquid chlorine, known as hypochlorite, a natural liquid used for the sanitization of swimming pool & spa water.
How does saline conversion chlorination work? - A specific quantity of pure, non-iodized, fine grain table salt is added to the pool water to create a saltwater (saline) concentration of 0.3% (3000 parts per million). This salinity concentration is slightly less than the salinity level found in most human tears, thus it is very gentle to the swimmer's eyes and skin. Liquid chlorine (hypochlorite) is created through a process called electrolysis. As the saline passes through the chlorinator cell a low voltage DC current is applied. This applied energy current changes the salt dissolved in the water into liquid chlorine (hypochlorite). The liquid chlorine immediately mixes with the water leaving the chlorinator cell and flows into the swimming pool as clean, chlorinated water.

It is connected to the pump housing with a union nut, this makes it easy if you need to rotated the head, as the basket can be remounted with no problem once you have rotated the head. Irving Pichel's They Won't Believe Me is the flashback unfolding of Larry Ballentine's (Robert Young) witness-stand testimony in his trial for the murder of girlfriend Verna Carlson (Susan Hayward). The flashback structure of this suspenseful film noir effectively creates a foreboding tension that mounts to a powerful final scene.
While it contains a few too many echoes of true film noir masterpieces, especially Double Indemnity, They Won't Believe Me is a very satisfying crime thriller in its own right. It's heavily plot-dependent (not unusual for the genre), and that is both its blessing and its curse -- the twists and turns the plot takes are intriguing, but they're also somewhat contrived, and their artificiality will turn off some viewers. Some might also be bothered by the lead character, an amoral, self-centered, greedy bounder, but others will find his flaws quite interesting, especially in a film from this era. He's well played by a cast-against-type Robert Young, who delivers an extremely effective performance. He's matched by his trio of leading ladies, with Susan Hayward in especially fine form as the most fatale-ish of the group. Some will wonder what this group of ladies finds so irresistible in Young, who lacks the overt hardboiled sexuality and/or raffish charm of many noir leading men, yet that air of mystery hints that, in bed, Young has, shall we say, hidden depths that censors of the time wouldn't have allowed to be seen. Irving Pichel directs with surprising style and shows an affinity for the genre. They Won't Believe Me is especially recommended for noir enthusiasts who have exhausted the "big guns" and are looking for lesser-known titles. (AllMovie)

Description

Rawhide (no relation to the TV series) is a trim, satisfying Henry Hathaway picture that blends the leathery trappings of the Western with the claustrophobic atmosphere and intensity of a suspense film. Tyrone Power and Susan Hayward handle the heroics without larger-than-life posturing; Dean Jagger and Hugh Marlowe relish the rare opportunity to play villainous or ambiguous types; and Jack Elam is, well, Jack Elam, reliably vicious in every pore.
